Wood Carvings

When we lost a tree that was no longer safe, our local County Cllr’s asked for enough of the tree stump to be left so that something could be done with it.  After contacting a local sculptor (Richie Barnes) who specialises in chainsaw carvings he came up with the design of two owls and wizard.  Richie gave his time for free, the Parish Council paid for the materials and the County Cllr’s paid for the flower beds.  The feature has received some fantastic responses from local residents.
