Parish Council

Our local Public Health team says we’re seeing more positive Covid 19 cases than expected in Newton Hall, Brasside, Framwellgate Moor and Pity Me.

Please keep up the good work and be extra vigilant with hand washing, face coverings, staying 2metres apart and keeping buildings and homes well ventilated. Please get tested if you have symptoms and stay strictly at home if you’re asked to self-isolate.

Your efforts will help us reverse the trend and keep you and your loved ones safe.

During this period of restricted activity declared by the Government in respect of the Covid-19 virus and in order that Framwellgate Moor, Pity Me & Brasside Parish Council can fulfill its responsibilities to its residents, it has extended its delegated powers to the Clerk, in consultation with the Chairman and / or the Vice Chairman.

Such delegation to empower the Clerk to take any action that is expedient or necessary to ensure continuous business of the Council, and to enable the Council to fulfill its responsibilities and carry out its functions. The delegation does not extend to matters expressly reserved to the Council in legislation. Any decisions made under this delegation must be recorded in writing and must be published in accordance with the relevant regulations.

All meetings will be held via Zoom.  If you wish to attend, please contact the Clerk who will issue you with the invite.   Public Participation policy will remain in place during these meetings.

All four play areas are open.

The MUGA and tennis courts are open – if you wish to book please click on the link above.

Actively Supporting Local Projects

We have helped many local projects over the years and continue to do so.

Supporting local causes and ensuring the daily standard of life in our parish is always our first consideration, we have been a major part of many parish projects over the years.

Pavilion & Bowling Green

The Pavilion building is the Headquarters for the Parish Council and our  greenkeeper, Brian, uses this as his base from which to carry out some of his regular duties, mainly to do with the maintenance of the Bowling Green.
